The Accounts Payable ("AP") Manager ensures timely and accurate processing, through the Oracle AP module, of expense reports and invoices for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and other entities. The incumbent oversees the maintenance of supporting records and compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley Act ("SOX"). The incumbent also prepares and analyzes numerous weekly and monthly reports to track staff metrics and measure staff productivity. The AP Manager is also responsible developing, maintaining and executing AP policies and procedures. The incumbent drives process improvements identified by the team to improve the customers' experience and ensure proper controls are in place.
Manage day-to-day processing of non-payroll disbursements toindividuals, partnerships, corporations and other entities.
Manage, lead and develop team; provide training and guidanceto direct reports to build a strong and efficient team.
Ensure adherence to all AP policies and procedures.
Ensure all invoices are paid within terms.
Review AP aging and collaborate with team to ensure invoicesare paid on time
Manage outsourcing of AP invoices.
Manage "Procure to Pay" team, which works with cross-functionalteams and suppliers to investigate and resolve issues as they arise and ensureproper guidelines are followed.
Ensure timely and accurate processing in Oracle ofpurchasing documents such as purchase orders and invoices, ensuring compliancewith internal controls and SOX.
Oversee the maintenance of departmental records and thegeneration and balancing of transaction reports.
Interact with vendors and Purchasing Accounting teams toobtain accurate general ledger coding information and to resolvepayables-related problems.
Work with the Accounting team and AP Senior Manager toprepare for monthly AP close.
Review monthly and weekly reports required for staff metricspurposes and provide feedback to the team.
Establish and report against a set of metrics that measurethe efficiency, effectiveness and customer service performance of the APcoordinator group.
Develop and implement specific and innovative proposals toimprove operational effectiveness, control and / or customer service
Supervise and manage the performance of direct reports.
Create strong collaborative team environment.
Recruit, develop and retain staff, partnering with SeniorManagement, Recruiting and Human Resources.This includes on-boarding and orientation for new hires.
Provide disciplined performance management for team.Define and communicate annual goals, performformal and informal performance reviews, and ensure changes and updates arecommunicated in a timely and professional manner.
Proactively identify and resolve personnel issues inconjunction with Human Resources
Solid understanding of internal controls related to AP andGeneral Ledger Accounting

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required
Minimum three years AP required
Supervisory experience required
Oracle or large Enterprise Business System experiencerequired
Approximately 100% performed in climate-controlled internal office environment working under normal office conditions. Approximately 0% travel may be required in support of the position's responsibilities.
