BI Analyst

ICF Ironworks is seeking an experienced BI analyst to join our consulting team, and perform the role of the business analyst in delivering business information solutions. In this position you would be working directly with customers to develop reporting solutions based on their business processes.

Requirements:
Responsibilities:
* Facilitate client meetings to determine requirements
* Document business intelligence and data reporting requirements
* Create technical requirements / high level technical designs
* Act as liaison between developers and client to clarify requirements
* Develop SRS - Systems Requirements Documentation.
* Participate through full life cycle of BI projects
* Analyze, define and document requirements for reporting / presentation / visualization of business data and information; data integration with other systems - both internal and external; data quality checks and controls.
Skills/Experience:
* Ability to write in business terms the requirements for a system or process.
* Ability to develop workflows in Visio or PowerPoint
* Ability to understand, analyze, provide recommendations for improvement in existing data w.r.t data availability, data quality, and data integrity
* SQL Query capability to be able to query databases analyze data
* Ability to understand data models
* Ability to translate documented business requirements into technical requirements (specifications for developers)
* Ability to describe requirements in terms of tables, fields, file layouts
* Excellent written and oral communication skill
* Experience facilitating group decision making
* 5 or more years of experience working on a data warehousing/BI/Reporting development team as a BI analyst.
* At least one year working in a consulting environment serving a variety of clients
* Proficient in MS Office product suite including MS Project and Visio
* Proficient with analysis of data - SQL Query Tools (e.g., Access, SQL, etc.)
* Strong problem solving and business analysis skills
Desired skills:
* Experience in an AGILE environment highly desired
* Experience with designing and deploying strategic and tactical dashboards/scorecards is desirable
