Baker Hughes is recruiting for 2Compensation Specialist in the Western Hemisphere Compensation group within Total Rewards, who will be responsible for supporting our US Regions & Trinidad or our Products & Technology/Supply Chain/Functional organizations in the development, implementation, communication and administration of compensation programs for all employees; while also contributing to the broader Total Rewards Center of Excellence strategies and initiatives. This is a key role in supporting the Organization’s mission by ensuring that the compensation programs are aligned with the organization’s strategies and goals, and are compliant with government regulations. This position requires strong technical compensation knowledge and the ability to build relationships with Human Resources partners and Line Management
Requirements:
Maintains base and incentive compensation programs that are internally equitable and externally competitive
Provide support in the development and administration of incentive plans within the guidelines of the established policy and in concert with the organization’s strategy.
Provide support for the annual merit review process by providing training to HR, and partnering with the Global Total Rewards team. ·
Directs the planning, administration and implementation of job evaluation and wage and salary management programs.
Participates in salary and market surveys to determine market pay rates, salary structures and merit budgets
Partners with HR and client organizations to provide service-oriented compensation analysis based on the business needs of the organization and offering creative solutions.
Provides training to Human Resources and line manager as appropriate.
Ensures effective communication of programs along with regulatory and audit compliance.
Other duties as may be assigned
Minimum of six years in Compensation as a senior level individual contributor
Experience with market-based job evaluation system
Knowledge of SAP is a plus
Professional Certification preferred - CCP (Certified Compensation Professional) is preferred
Must have Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or equivalent with 8 years’ experience
Solid Executive Compensation experience including reporting, proxy filings, Long Term Incentives and stock plan administration is highly desired
Ability to read and interpret complex legal documents
Ability to interpret laws and government policies related to executive compensation
Possess exceptional analytical abilities, accuracy, and attention to detail
Effective communication and interpersonal skills and a strong service orientation
Must be able to coach and influence others at all levels of the organization
Proven organizational and project management skills, along with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced work environment
Flexible and proactive problem solver adept at achieving results in a team-oriented and collaborative environment, but also able to function effectively working independently
Strong Excel skills (proficient in the use of functions, macros, pivot tables)
Aptitude for learning new systems and technologies
