  • 27488BR Title: Energy Services Advisor Assc Job Description: The ideal candidate will be joining a dynamic group of passionate energy advisors that are focused on bringing energy efficiency products and solutions to the commercial and industrial customers throughout our territory. As part of the Indiana Michigan Power Energy Services team, you will work alongside a talented group of energy professionals, driven by delivering a world class customer experience and helping make our business customers more operationally efficient and financially competitive. The core responsibilities of this position will be to work with specific commercial and industrial customers in some of IM's largest business channels, to provide energy management services/solutions based on the customer needs. The Energy Service Advisor Assc will be responsible for selling a portfolio of identified products & solutions to help customers better manage their overall energy usage and costs. This portfolio will include offerings from both IM EE/DSM programs and specific products that will help to optimize customers energy usage. The Energy Service Advisor Assc will be responsible for collaborating and working effectively with internal IM stakeholders(i.e. Customer Services, Design Engineers, Economic Development) The Energy Service Advisor Assc will work with key industry Trade Allies in respective geographies, to support the product services education and implementation processes. Additionally, their work may involve developing a longer term energy strategy for the customer. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS are listed below: 1. Partnering with our customers to develop a more cost-competitive and efficient energy usage plan for the future....this includes Energy Efficiency and specific products that will help to optimize customers energy usage. 2. As part of a high-performing team you will deliver on assigned filed kWh Savings and Budget targets through active engagement of targeted customers and field engineers. 3. Conducting customer specific energy audits to assess customers various sources of energy use throughout the floorplan. 4. Developing strategies on how to practically implement solutions, researching and analyzing historic energy usage and available technologies. 5. Communicating results effectively with customers, ranging from building engineers to owners regarding energy usage and investigating alternative sources of energy to improve their efficiency. 6. Maintaining a robust Trade Ally product solution network to collaborate with customers and provide their technical expertise. 7. Excellent demonstrated communication skills, both verbal and written both internally and externally. 8. Collaborating with Customer Design Engineers to identify opportunities in new buildings or redesign projects to ensure the energy systems are up-to-date, cost-efficient and sustainable. Wayne, IN Job Type: Full-Time Job Category: Energy/Utilities Minimum Requirements: BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Bachelor's Degree or higher in one of the following disciplines; Engineering, Business, Finance Experience: Experience in Utility Industry, Customer Services, Project Management or related field preferred but not required. Experience in troubleshooting, investigation and operation of electrical and mechanical equipment and understanding of how energy consuming equipment works preferred but not required. Must have excellent communication skills. Licenses/Certifications: Must have a valid state driving license.
