Patients choose Alliance Interventional because of our experienced healthcare team and minimally invasive approach to pain management-resulting in cost-effective treatments with less trauma and pain, and a faster recovery time.Job ResponsibilitiesUnder the direct supervision of a Physician, Certified Physician Assistant, Nurse Practitioner, and/or Registered Nurse (Qualified Healthcare Providers), the Ambulatory Surgery Center Manager provides delegated patient care activities and treatments in a customer-focused manner. Reports to the Director of Clinical Services.Specific duties include, but are not limited to:Management+ Participates in the development of annual budgets that reflect appropriate expenditures for personnel, supplies, and equipment. Manages to budget; monitors variances between budgeted and actual expense reports and takes action to correct negative variances within appropriate time lines. Assists with ADP/payroll to assure accurate data entry.+ Participates in the interview, selection, and orientation process for new team members in collaboration with nursing management, RN staff, and other team members.+ Completes appropriate reports and institutes appropriate measures in the event of an unusual occurrence, e.g. patient fall, medication error, etc. Responsible for the containment of department costs and conservation of supplies, equipment, and linen.+ Acts and intervenes with ethical issues including clinical concerns, sexual and harassment issues, and physician/nurse relations. Maintains confidentiality in all department-related issues.+ Evaluates the department/service's performance against specified targets and takes appropriate actions.+ Participates in committees+ Maintains a state of continued survey readiness. Provides leadership for continued survey readiness team.Patient Care+ Provides patient care according to designated standards and practices.+ Assists in ongoing monitoring and evaluation of the appropriateness and effectiveness of patient care.+ Establishes a mechanism to track customer service performance and takes corrective action to address any issues.Employee Management+ Responsible for day-to-day staffing and making appropriate decisions based on patient needs and skill level of caregiver.+ Responsible for developing the staffing schedule and posting it within established timeframe guidelines.+ Guides staff in the advancement of their education and leadership skills, particularly team building, conflict resolution, and delegation.+ Schedules days to day activities i.e. breaks, sending people home, etc.+ Coordinates and participates in assuring completion of the orientation competency checklist for new hires and annual competencies for all employees.+ Manages employee performance by participating in evaluation process and coaching.+ Assists the Director with special projects as delegated.+ Conducts staff meetings as needed.+ Works with the RN Lead to complete daily, weekly and monthly tasks.Position Requirements+ Certificate from College or Technical School required; Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience preferred.+ CPR certification required.+ Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.+ Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.+ Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.+ Computer and EMR expertise preferred.+ Excellent interpersonal skills required in order to provide effective communication.+ Able to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.+ Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.+ Local travel may be required.Physical Requirements:+ The employee may be exposed to radioactive isotopes, ionizing radiation, and a strong magnetic field.
