    Armstrong Flooring, Inc. (AFI), has an opportunity for a Process Engineer located at our manufacturing plant in Stillwater, OK. This position will be the technical services for the production and distribution operations. These services include process improvement work, daily process support, cost reduction activities, and project management. This position plays a critical role in our Lean and continuous improvement activities.

    What you'll be doing:

    • Be the engineering and technical expertise to the operations when the lines unexpectedly go down, requiring fast-paced problem solving and communications with the operators.

    • Proactively investigate manufacturing problems with the line and recommend corrective actions. This includes consulting with production and maintenance personnel, analyzing the supporting data, recommending corrective actions, and following through on recommendations to evaluate their effectiveness.

    • Manage capital projects, ensuring cost, schedule, and performance goals are met or exceeded. You may work as part of a team or have sole ownership on some projects.

    • Educate plant personnel on engineering and technical issues so they understand how their actions impact the machines and operations.

    • Provide training and start-up activities of new equipment and processes.

    • Become a member of our Lean efforts, such as Kaizen events, where an emphasis is placed on creativity.
