  • Job Summary:Implements Contractor Project Quality Control Plan during field work to verify that in coming materials and work performed by subcontractors complies with the contract statement of work, drawings, specifications and submittal requirements. This work is being performed on the island of Saipan, candidates must be willing to work on island.Key Responsibilities:+ Site QC Manager responsibilities include developing inspection plans for work performed by subcontractors, conducting preparatory and initial QC meetings, reviewing and approving submittals, inspecting incoming material, conducting daily field(follow-up) QC inspections, verifying tests are performed and meet the specifications and writing daily QC reports.+ Documents rework and non conforming work that does not meet contract. + Lead project teams and serve as Engineer of Record in conducting the design process for various projects from conceptual design to detailed designs including plans, specifications and construction documents. + Perform project management activities in a lead role being responsible for scope, budget and schedule working in close coordination with project team, sub-consultants and client. + Define numerical modeling needs for engineering projects; provide guidance to the numerical modeling team and QA/QC numerical modeling results.+ Serve as mentor to staff to seek continuous improvement though implementation of lessons learned and constructive annual performance evaluations. + Participate in strategic planning and business development activities to grow our Engineering Practice. + Assist with project proposals and selection presentations.+ Verifies corrective action implementation.+ Reports to project manager and project quality assurance manager. + Interfaces and communicates with customer quality assurance personnel.Basic Qualifications:+ Bachelor's Degree in engineering or related scientific field. + 20+ years of work experience in Engineering+ Professional Engineering License (P.E.) required+ Demonstrated technical and analytical skills in designing of structural projects+ Demonstrated strength in written and verbal communication skills suitable to a consulting environment.+ Demonstrated ability to fluently communicate in spoken and written English.+ Have a passion for working in a consulting firm environment with multi-disciplined team of professionals.+ Experience with the development of construction bid packages and job construction estimate. + Have the ability to handle multiple assignments efficiently and effectively. + Be able to work independently with minimal supervision and with our multidisciplinary team of professionals and staff. + Previous experience (and holds current certificate) implementing the USACE construction quality management (CQM) process for construction activities helpful+ Residential Construction Experience is helpfulEqual Opportunity Employer Minorities/Women/Protected Veterans/DisabledApplicants with a physical or mental disability who require a reasonable accommodation for any part of the application or hiring process may make their request known by e-mailing ~~~ or calling ~~~ for assistance.
