As an OEM Sales Engineer located at our Burlington, WI headquarters you’ll be responsible for things such as…

 

  • Managing all aspects of OEM accounts, including cross-functional involvement throughout Lavelle.
  • Seeking “Voice of the Customer” data and sharing with the organization to drive for improvement.
  • Use leadership and customer influence to drive for results personally, within the immediate OEM Sales team and cross-functionally.
  • Analyzing and reporting of key sales metrics and sales strategies for respective accounts.
  • Development of sales strategies for seeking growth opportunities within current customers and additional external business.
  • Work closely with R & D and Operations to disseminate customer requirements.
  • Work closely with customer service representatives and independent commissioned representatives.
  • Negotiate customer terms.
  • Present Lavelle’s capabilities with respect to materials, products and services.
  • Support the assessment and valuation of new OEM business opportunities

 



Requirements:

The successful OEM Sales Engineer candidate will have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (highly preferred) or Science
  • 2+ years of related sales account management experience. 
  • Experience selling direct to OEM manufacturers; in rubber and plastics industries is highly preferred.
  • Able to interpret blueprints and customer spec sheets
  • Experience being hands-on with manufacturing of customer products
  • Data-driven problem solver with strong mechanical reasoning
  • Project management skills
  • Process understanding capabilities
