Responsible for consistent and profitable delivery of energy services to assigned accounts. Typically manages higher profile, higher complexity customers with multiple locations and an annual energy spend of over $50 Million. Develops, proposes and implements total energy management strategies supporting the customer's business objectives. Sells the development and expansion of energy services strategies to support the growth of the account. Pro-actively takes necessary actions as required to limit risk and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction. Leverages the use of JCI Controls Group resources to implement and deliver contracted energy services. Manages the JCI account's energy budget.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES:
1. With the customer, creates a strategic energy plan and Corporate Energy Program. Elements of the Corporate Energy Program may involve energy procurement and rate analysis, energy efficiency initiatives, risk management, expense and capital budget planning for energy expenditures, formation of a customer energy committee, training for customer's employees, utility bill management and regulatory compliance related to energy consumption.
2. Works with the customer to define goals, objectives and methods of measurement for the energy program. Builds and maintains a scorecard summarizing key energy metrics for reporting to the customer and JCI management. Regularly updates and communicates scorecard results.
3. Implements the Corporate Energy Program to meet customer's objectives. Identifies and manages resources from within JCI Controls Group and externally necessary to meet customer expectations and program objectives. Provides overall project and program management to ensure program deliverables are met on time and within budget. Directs and manages sub-contractors as required.
4. Manages JCI cost and revenue related to energy services programs to meet or exceed JCI profitability targets.
5. Identifies opportunities to expand the scope of energy services delivered to the customer. Prepares the financial business case and proposal. Along with the Customer Business Manager/Director, presents the opportunity and proposal to the customer to secure the expanded energy services scope of work.
6. Establishes regular communication processes with the customer's key energy services stakeholders to relay the energy plan initiatives, key energy metrics, and progress against the plan.
7. Leverages knowledge, expertise and best practices from within JCI to improve the effectiveness of the energy program. Contributes knowledge and best practices to others within JCI and specifically as it relates to energy services programs being established with other customers
8. Participates in Quarterly Business Reviews with the customer and the Customer Business Manager/Director to provide updates on program results, activities and strategic initiatives.
9. Remains informed of energy market and industry issues, trends and technologies which includes but is not limited to participating in industry associations, networking with technology vendors and monitoring key energy web-site.
10. May lead a customer energy team comprised of representatives from different parts of the customer's organization. Ensures involvement and support for the energy program from all key stakeholders within customer and JCI organizations.
11. May directly manage other staff involved in the delivery of energy services to the customer. Provides leadership, direction and performance management to staff as appropriate.

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or Engineering and a minimum of seven years of work experience in the energy management industry. Masters degree desirable. Broad technical knowledge of energy supply-side and demand-side management and of the energy industry. Demonstrated sales and proposal development skills. Ability to prepare and present a financial business case to senior level executives within customer organization. Previous management experience highly desirable. Strong demonstrated communication, negotiation and customer satisfaction skills. Strong process orientation and program management skills. Results orientated. Ability to take initiative and effectively operate with general direction. Computer and analytical skills required. Must be a team player committed to working in a quality environment.
