Stage Manager
Kaufman Center seeks to update their roster of qualified stage managers for Merkin Concert Hall. Stage managers are responsible for the smooth operation of all performance activities for events in the hall.
This position reports to the Merkin Concert Hall Booking Manager.
Responsibilities will include: - Work out client stage and lighting needs - Acquaint clients with facility - Monitor/secure green room - Greet clients and go over any outstanding event details - Communicate timetable of event to house manager - Assist recording engineer with microphone placement and sound engineer with PA set-up - Enforce backstage house rules - Communicate with house manager and client contact to coordinate house opening and event start time - Run light cues - Make stage changes - Let performers on and off stage - Strike the stage, and set up for the next event - Make sure the backstage area is neat and clean - Make sure clients take ALL belongings with them when leaving the stage area to attend receptions or greet guests upstairs
