Understand Your Customers is the Key to Building Brand Loyalty

Posted by

One of the keys to making sales is to understand your customer base. By figuring out who they are you can find ways to exceed their expectations and turn customers into long term, loyal clients. One of the companies that are working hard at finding new ways to appeal to clients is ProperCloth. ProperCloth is a mens' dress shirt site. Selling tailored clothing on the internet can be a challenge, but this site has managed to find a way to market to the average busy man.

They have figured out that the reason that men aren't wearing custom tailored shirts is that the majority of men don't know the size of their chest or arms. The average guy would like to have a shirt that is custom fitted for them, but don't have the time or energy to go to a tailor and be fitted for one. Instead, they opt for simply choosing small, medium or large.

ProperCloth is changing all of that. Visitors to their site can customize their dress shirts in a wide array of fabric types from stripes and patterns to solids. In addition, there are many different collar type cuff styles available. When the customer is ready to select their size, they have the option to select a ready made size, or to opt for the smart fit option. The smart fit option asks the customer several fairly easy to answer questions in order to get a better idea of the man's size. The question are simple and are questions like; How tall are you? What size t shirt do you wear? And How much do you weigh? By analyzing the answers to these questions, they are able to tailor a shirt to the customer in a way that will make their product work better than simply clicking on a standard size.

When you find what is keeping customers from buying the products or services you offer, you can make sure that you are there to help them solve their problems. In difficult economic times, it is important to become allies with your clients and build loyalty among your client base.
