We see everyday different ways to find jobs: location, salary, interests, qualifications, experience...but what about finding a job based on your personality?

An interesting article lists the 10 best jobs for introverts and extroverts. Of course you may not agree with the list. But it is just another way for the job seeker to sift through tons of job opportunities.

I think it may be especially useful for those job seekers who are looking to change fields. Or for job seekers who may not be sure what they want to do (for example recent graduates).

Most of the jobs listed require some sort of expertise or higher training, so keep that in mind.

To give you an idea:

The top 3 jobs for extroverts

  1. Human Resources Specialist -- Average Annual Salary $63,176
  2. Actor -- Average Annual Salary $51,293
  3. Public Relations Specialist – Average Annual Salary $59,970

The top 3 jobs for introverts:

  1. Software Engineer -- Average Annual Salary $97,581
  2. Pharmacist -- Average Annual Salary $117,475
  3. Accountant -- Average Annual Salary $59,159

All of the above salaries were calculated by Cbsalary.com, which is the property of careerbuilder.com. It provides salary information based on the job, where the job is, the company size and your experience, just to name a few factors.

Maybe you are qualified in the IT field but are not sure what you want to specialize in. Perhaps a career in software engineering appeals to you more than a help desk position. Why? Well, because you are not that great with people but you love working with computers.

The "moral of the story" is to be creative with your job search. Perhaps looking in places that are beyond the norm may land you a great job opportunity.
