100% TRAVEL - Field Service Technician

Job Description

An Insight Global is looking to hire a Field Service Technician to join their team. This individual is responsible for determining how to get power from the main breaker through the entirety of the plants. They will assist with the installation and retrofits of their products at their customers' sites. They will work with the engineering groups to resolve and troubleshoot any issues that occur. They will also train the customer employees in proper maintenance and operational tasks. This role is a strict travel role, both nationally and internationally.

Base salary is 55-65k + OT, per diem

Skills and Requirements

• Willingness to travel 100% and obtain passport

• High school diploma, GED, associates

• Background in construction, manufacturing, or related fields

• Experience with installation and retrofits

• Ability to read and understand mechanical/electrical, blueprints

• Knowledgeable of MCC, soft starters, PLCs, input/output signals (analog inputs, frequency input, thermocouples, analog output)

• Familiar with communication styles (profibus, profinet, ethernet, fiber optics)

• 24V DC, 120V AC, 480V 3 phase

Windows, Microsoft Office, Concur, and all IPS Control Systems * VFD

• Control Wiring
