Accountant

Description To be successful at this Accountant position, you should be someone who creates spreadsheets in your sleep, be looking to find your place in the accounting field. Robert Half is hiring candidates for an exciting entry-level Accountant opportunity, with a highly successful organization. You will be reviewing financial statements with a heavy data entry component in this position. Are you interested in spreadsheet creation and manipulation? You might be a fit for this entry-level position! This opportunity is for a long-term contract / contract to permanent entry-level Accountant position and is located in Beaumont, Texas.

How you will make an impact

• Log data

• Executing alternate duties and partaking in special projects as assigned

• Assisting with audit fieldwork for both financial and operational audits

• Researching and correcting account discrepancies

• Reconciling and balancing general ledger accounts

• Prepare journal entries monthly

• Aiding in full cycle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes Requirements - Applicants are recommended to hold an AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business

• Excellent oral and written communications skills

• 2+ years of relevant accounting experience at minimum

• Excellent data entry skills

• Eagerness to work independently as well as part of a team with flexibility and willingness to learn and take initiative on variety of tasks and projects

• Accounts Receivable (AR) experience highly desired

• Accounts Payable (AP) experience

• Comprehensive knowledge of GAAP (STAT)

• Expertise in payroll

• Deep understanding of budgeting

• Attentive, ability to work independently and prioritize tasks

• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUP's) is preferred
