    Summary

    The Associate Director, AMI Clinical Engagement will assist with development and deployment of AMI educational engagement training strategies, with main responsibilities that include overseeing the facilitation of on-site HCP training programs, managing the Clinical Engagement Team, and partnering with Medical Supervisor(s) to implement and maintain clinical policies and procedures at the Irvine AMI training center. As a necessary part of job training, the Associate Director, AMI Clinical Engagement will also participate in on-going clinical training which includes participation in anatomy labs and performing on-label facial injections, as well as other procedures, under the direction of a Medical Supervisor.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Deploying the strategy set forth by AMI leadership to enhance training activities and protocols for facial injectable customers attending on-site AMI educational engagement programs.

    • Implementing, monitoring, and maintaining both initial and ongoing educational engagement programs at the Irvine AMI Training Center.

    • Collaborating with the AMI Curricula team on the development of new clinical programs to expand reach, increase effectiveness, and further strengthen AMI brand sentiment.

    • Partnering closely with Medical Supervisor(s) to create, implement, and monitor ongoing clinical activities within the Irvine AMI Training Center.

    • Managing the on-site Clinical Engagement Team to enhance and improve onsite AMI training center activities and programs.

    • Providing guidance and instruction to direct reports, including delegating work, overseeing progress towards goals, and coaching team members as needed.

    • Traveling to facilitate, support and assist with clinical engagement initiatives and programs.

    • Overseeing the model recruitment process and programs for the Irvine AMI Training Center.

    • Partnering closely with Human Resources, Environment Health, and Safety, Medical, Legal, Regulatory, and Compliance to ensure that all guidelines, regulations, and standards are met.

    • Collaborating with other departments including Marketing, Sales, Sales Training, Medical Affairs, and Research and Development to identify clinical education opportunities and deficiencies. Research, identify, and implement solutions to address these needs.

    • Monitoring and ensuring the achievement of results within the approved budget.

    • Performing other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree is required.

    • Current, unencumbered NP/PA/RN license, with a strong preference for licensure within CA, GA, TX.

    • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in clinical education and/or clinical practice management is required.

    • Minimum of 5-7 years of clinical experience with facial injectables is required.

    • Ability to deliver educational presentations, during both small and large group trainings, to customers, peers, and prospects, with measurable results.

    • Experience with both leading a team and influencing cross-functional teams is required.

    • Experience with facial injectables is strongly preferred.

    • Demonstrated ability to be a prompt decision maker with strong problem-solving skills, while maintaining a high degree of flexibility in adapting to a rapidly changing environment.

    • Possess a strong work ethic and integrity.

    • Possess strong analytical, organizational, planning, and prioritizing abilities.

    • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

    • Knowledge of FDA and regulatory statutes as applied to the Allergan Aesthetics portfolio of products, with the ability to function in an environment controlled by outside regulatory entities.

    Additional Requirements

    • Ability to travel up to 50%. Evenings, overnight, weekends, domestic travel may be required.

    • Responsible for performing all duties in compliance with FDA's Quality System Regulation (QSR), ISO13485, the Canadian Medical Device Regulations, and all other international regulatory requirements with which Allergan complies.

    Language and Verbal Skills

    • Individual must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and a demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and professionally.

    Analytical and Reading Skills

    • Ability to read, understand and abide by company procedures. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions and report on findings.
