Business Intelligence Director

Description

We are seeking a skilled Director of Business Intelligence to lead our BI team. This role involves developing and implementing data analytics strategies, designing a data warehouse, and providing insights to stakeholders. The ideal candidate has a strong technical background in data warehousing, modeling, visualization, and analytics.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement BI strategies to support organizational goals.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to define reporting and visualization requirements.

• Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of BI solutions using tools like Tableau, Power BI, and QlikView.

• Manage and mentor a team of BI developers.

• Ensure data accuracy and consistency in partnership with the data engineering team.

• Continuously improve BI solutions for optimal performance.

• Stay updated with emerging BI technologies and best practices.

• Optimize data storage, processing, and retrieval with data engineering and infrastructure teams.

• Develop and enforce data governance policies for security and compliance.

• Report BI initiatives' status and progress to senior management.

Requirements

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional experience

• Experience building custom dashboards, self-service tools, and interactive applications.

• Expertise in SQL query optimization and performance tuning.

• Experience with ETL tools (Talend, Informatica, SSIS).

• Proficiency in data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, QlikView).

• Knowledge of database design, data modeling, and warehousing concepts.

• Familiarity with big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark, Hive) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra).

• Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

• Experience with agile project management methodologies.
