  • Civil Engineer

    Preparation of civil engineering designs for permit and construction

    General site planning including: civil engineering land development, MD State Highway Administration roadway design projects, residential and commercial site design, storm water management design, storm drain design, water and sewer design, sediment and erosion control plans, MDE requirements

    Requirements

    BS degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering

    PE or the ability to become licensed within one year (Plus)

    At least 2-4 years of relevant land development engineering experience

    Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills

    Outstanding organizational skills

    Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlines

    Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

    Ability to manage multiple projects and deliverables simultaneously

    High level of proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D

    Skills and & Qualifications

    Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering

    Engineering-in-Training (EIT) preferred

    Preferably seeking 1+ years of experience

    Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    Proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D

    Experience with Microstation v8 and Power In-Roads a plus

    Best vs Average: Best candidates will have a mixed portfolio of utility, SHA and LD. At a minimum they need to have project design experience for commercial OR residential. Their largest project right now is AA county townhome residential project.

    DFI will hire candidates without their Bachelors in Civil Engineering. They can hire candidates with land development experience and Civil 3D. They just need production help
