Commercial Lines Broker Assistant

We sell exclusively to retail agencies across the country with a focus on small to mid-market E&S commercial and specialty personal lines risks.

About the Position:

The ideal candidate for this position will possess excellent customer service skills and serve as a technical resource to a large and growing commercial lines underwriting/brokerage team. Successful applicants will work with the in-house broker(s) to request and review underwriting information for processing of bind orders, endorsements and other account servicing assignments.

Responsibilities:

• Handle incoming calls from retail agents and carriers ensuring highest level of customer service standards are met, bringing calls to a satisfactory resolution

• Process endorsements, binders/invoices and other documents according to established departmental procedures with accuracy, efficiency, and meeting compliance standards

• Act as liaison between brokers or clients and the underwriter to obtain missing information, status of quote/bind, and/or other requests for information

• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• High School graduate required; College courses preferred

• Previous work experience in the fields of insurance, customer service, banking or similar, with a successful track record

• State specific Insurance License required / obtain within specified period of time

• Positive attitude and enjoys helping others through frequent phone and email communication

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work well under pressure to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment

• High level of adaptability to meet the needs of various situations

• Strong organization skills, with a high level of detail orientation

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel and various rating portals

Work Location

This position has remote working opportunities. Looking to fill to immediately.

Disclosure required under applicable state or municipality regulations: The expected salary range for this position is $54, 000 - $58,000 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate's skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position's business line, scope and level.
