  • General Description:

    The Director, Global Tax Accounting performs the operations and management of the US tax organization and consolidates the international into the worldwide tax reporting. The successful incumbent provides strategic thinking, business analysis, process redesign, technology leadership and project planning in guiding company initiatives to meet the financial objectives of the organization. The position reports into the VP, Global Tax and can be fully remote.

    Essential Functions of the job:

    • Manages and monitors the quarterly tax accounting close process, including account reconciliations, to ensure financial statements are in compliance with US GAAP and deadlines are met

    • Reviews quarterly variance analysis of tax accounts ("Flux" review)

    • Communicates weekly with senior management on tax matters

    • Assists in management of the external audit process for tax accounting

    • Researches, concludes, and assists the business on technical tax matters, including assessments of recently issued US GAAP guidance and IRS rules and regulations

    • Recommends tax process changes to improve efficiency and global consistency

    • Responsible for the annual valuation allowance review

    • Assists in monitoring the US tax budget

    • Communicates with senior management regarding any tax issues and recommends changes in methods or procedures to improve the efficiency and productivity of the tax function

    Additional Skills

    • Minimum of 10 years of corporate income tax experience to include experience in a multinational corporation environment or in a public accounting environment working with multinational clients

    • SEC tax reporting experience required

    • Expertise in Excel, including experience with Power BI

    • Demonstrated efficiency with oral and written communication

    • Excellent organizational, interpersonal and leadership skills

    • Tax provision software experience

    Supervisory Responsibilities:

    • Manage the US direct and indirect tax compliance function

    Computer Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office products, SAP

    Education Required: Bachelor's Degree and CPA

    Travel: Minimal
