    The Position and Job Summary

    • Provides support for the implementation of the agency's diversity, equity, and inclusive initiatives to help ensure that the delivery of services and support is culturally inclusive andfor all consumers. It includes the following. Assigned duties may vary and other duties maybe assigned.

    • Provides feedback and recommendations that ensure access to service delivery, public information, training materials, policies and procedures are culturally inclusive

    • Promotes cross-cultural training and communications support

    • Coordinate, enhance and participate in support groups to help families understand services provided by the regional center, generic services and othercommunity agencies

    • Implement internal and external communications strategies that promote and educate employees and the community on the Center's diversity and inclusion initiatives.

    • Identify, build and sustain strategic partnerships with local community agencies and various stakeholders to assist in outreach efforts designed to identify, educate and inform consumers and families.

    • Participates in the review and provides feedback regarding Purchase of Service (POS) expenditures and attends and supports the planning of POS Expenditure Meetings

    • Provide consultation and recommendations to case management staff on increasing access to regional center services.

    • Collaborate on disparity-related efforts, projects, and related committees.

    • Other duties as assigned 

    Compensation

    This position is exempt. Annual Salary $78,434.00 - $105,885.90

    Education & Experience

    • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in a human services field such as social work, sociology, special education, rehabilitation counseling, psychology ornursing and 2 years related experience.

    • Three (3) years professional experience providing social services, counseling or related experience. Regional Center experience preferred. 

    Skills and Abilities

    • Knowledge of individuals with developmental disabilities.

    • Expertise in multicultural competence in social service settings.

    • Knowledge of community resources.

    • Sound understanding of Regional Center service standards and applicable laws and regulations.

    • Microsoft Office and related applications, inclusive of surveys.

    • Comfort with public speaking and meeting with the public.      

    Essential Requirements

    • Valid California Driver's License and reliable transportation, or acceptable substitute, required. Requires reliable and timely transportation to perform regular job duties on a routine basis out of the office.

    • Bilingual skills (English and Spanish) are required. 

    • Upon job offer acceptance, candidates will be required to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination.
