Drafter (CAD Technician)

Description

CAD technician will be responsible for creating 3D models using Solidworks for pump components, assembly drawings and other items. They will also be responsible for managing processes such as Bill of Materials, Engineering Change Notices and dimensional prints

Duties

• Generate 3D models of pump components (impellers, volutes, etc.) for pump design, assembly drawings, and part procurement.

• Develop official assembly and component drawings, as well as related instructions, based on the created 3D models.

• Review project instructions to understand customer specifications, procedures, and technical challenges, proposing solutions like part redesign or material substitution.

• Draft detailed drawings to facilitate parts fabrication by machine shops or external suppliers.

• Create 3D assemblies and drawings to ensure interference-free assembly.

• Manage processes such as Bills of Materials (BOMs), Engineering Change Notices (ECNs), dimensional prints, and exploded view drawings.
