    About the role:

    The Field Service Technician I is responsible for the delivery of high-quality customer service, performing preventative maintenance, routine repair, and calibration/verification of Hach devices located at our customer sites. The customer base for this role is anticipated to be a combination of municipal (i.e., drinking and wastewater treatment facilities) and industrial (i.e., power plants and food and beverage plants).

    This position is part of the North America Field Service Team located in Phoenix, AZ and will be remote.

    To get fully onboard, you will participate in our Service Training Program (a 10-week program with a mix of class-based and field training). You will have a dedicated trainer who will travel with you and also access to the Field Service Playbook and online content for your support.

    In this role, you will:

    • Perform preventative maintenance, routine repair, and calibration/verification of instrumentation using established company standard work.

    • Promotes a positive customer experience and serves as on-site customer contact for technical and service-related problems.

    • Submits prompt, accurate service reports that affect billing, inventory, instrument history, and instrument failure.

    • Follows safe work practices according to company policy.

    • Executes administrative activities in support of service visits.

    • 60-75% travel within a 2-hour radius of the Phoenix area. You can expect to have up to 1-3 nights away each week with company-paid accommodations and meals.

    Are you qualified?

    • Associates/Technical degree preferred, or combination of education and experience.

    • Basic mechanical aptitude is a must - experience with preventative maintenance and technical diagnostics/repair helpful, but not required.

    • 1 or more years of field service experience and/or customer facing roles preferred.

    • You have a valid Driver's License and clean driving record required.
