    Nuvance Health is a network of convenient hospital and outpatient locations - Danbury Hospital, New Milford Hospital, Norwalk Hospital, and Sharon Hospital in Connecticut and Northern Dutchess Hospital, Putnam Hospital Center, and Vassar Brothers Medical Center in New York - plus multiple primary and specialty care physician practice locations including The Heart Center and non-acute care affiliates.

    PER DIEM MEANS AS NEEDED - TWO SHIFTS PER MONTH

    FOR PEOPLE W/CUSTOMER SERVICE AND/OR GUEST SERVICES EXPERIENCE

    Summary:

    Exemplify standards of hospitality and service to internal and external customers. Greet and direct visitors and their families to their destinations and b a resource for information and guidance. Provide exceptional customer service with every interaction.

    Responsibilities:

    • Greet guests entering lobby with a sincere greeting, exhibit proper guest relations skills, and a positive approachable attitude with every interaction.

    • Proactively assist guests in obtaining a wheelchair, provide general assistance and/or accompany guests to their destinations, as appropriate.

    • Take initiative to maintain a safe and attractive environment within the facility and immediate property.

    • Notify Security of any suspicious person or behavior, accident or circumstance which may cause damage or injury.

    • Provide direction or assistance to those in the lobby to ensure their safety and the safety of others.

    • Handle complaints in real time within the department. Channel complaints or problems to appropriate staff; assist in resolving conflicts and be an intermediary between patients, families, and staff.

    • Provide concierge services to patients and visitors, as appropriate.

    • Offer assistance with guest complaints/concerns by maintaining knowledge of resources and service recovery procedures.

    • Maintain knowledge of all system-wide services to assist guests in any way possible.

    • Display a caring and courteous attitude and represent Nuvance Health in a positive manner to all persons.

    • Promote and contribute positively to intra-departmental and inter-departmental relationships.

    • Maintain confidentiality of employees and departmental information with no infractions.

    • Promote a safe and efficient working environment by adhering to hospital and department policies and procedures.

    • Adhere to Infection Control and Quality Assurance Policies and Procedures at all times.

    • Attend and actively participate in all in-services, as required.

    • Reports incidents, irregularities, unsafe conditions, equipment, and/or unusual occurrences to supervisor immediately.

    • Answer facility main phone line and appropriately transfer calls.

    Requirements:

    • High School Diploma or GED and six months of customer service experience

    • Basic data entry and MS Excel, Outlook, Teams, and Word skills

    Location: Vassar Brothers Medical Center, 45 Reade Place, Poughkeepsie, NY

    Work Type: Per Diem; two shifts/mo.

    Working Conditions:
