Hybrid - Cost Accountant

Description

We are currently partnered with a growing company in the Pittsfield, MA area looking to add a detail-oriented Cost Accountant to join their finance team. The Cost Accountant position is a hybrid role with great flexibility.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze manufacturing costs and identify areas for cost savings and process improvements

• Maintain accurate cost accounting records and assist with month-end close activities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand cost drivers and implement cost control measures

• Prepare monthly cost reports and variance analysis for management review

• Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes related to manufacturing costs

• Support inventory management efforts through regular reconciliations and analysis

• Participate in internal and external audits as needed

Requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• 3+ years of experience in cost accounting, preferably in a manufacturing environment

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
