    Job Summary and Qualifications

    As part of the HCA Healthcare Enterprise Brand Story and Communications team, the HCA Healthcare Impact Center Curator will be responsible for overall content strategy and execution for our interactive center that showcases HCA Healthcare's brand story.

    The primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, directing, managing and curating content; managing relationships with appropriate vendors, teams and technologies to execute on content production and programming; updating existing content with new metrics/details; and working closely with HCA Healthcare leadership and business units to evolve and improve content experiences within the center.

    In addition, the curator will be responsible for preserving, managing and selecting artifacts to support storytelling both within the Impact Center and throughout our enterprise via artifact roadshows.

    The curator will be the direct manager of the center administrator who will be responsible for scheduling, visitor tracking and record keeping for the Impact Center; facilitating and conducting tours and roadshows as requested by HCA Healthcare leadership; first-level technical troubleshooting to ensure functional Impact Center operating systems; and coordination of maintenance and service support needs.

    In honor of our rich legacy and the entrepreneurial spirit by which our organization was founded more than 50 years ago, we are currently constructing the HCA Healthcare Impact Center. The Impact Center - set to open in early 2024 - will serve as an immersive, interactive environment where colleagues, partners and other visitors can experience our incredible history and the immense impact our organization has on our patients, colleagues and communities today and into the future.

    What you will do in this role:

    General Responsibilities:

    • Oversee the development and execution of a comprehensive content strategy aligned with HCA Healthcare's brand story. Direct the curation, management and evolution of content to ensure alignment with organizational objectives and messaging

    • Organize and manage an electronic archive of HCA Healthcare content, such as existing raw and finished video, text scripts, images, graphics, exhibit programming and exhibit planning documents; backup the archive at regular intervals

    • Ensure our HCA Healthcare brand voice, lexicon and positioning is represented appropriately throughout the center

    • Cultivate and manage relationships with internal stakeholders, external vendors and technology partners to facilitate content production, programming and innovative experiences within the Impact Center

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate brand messaging and storytelling into communications materials, exhibits and interactive experiences, reinforcing HCA Healthcare's identity and values

    • Curate content to complement an artifact roadshow to share our HCA Healthcare story with local teams within our divisions, markets, facilities, etc.

    • Proofread communications materials for consistency, adherence to style/messaging guide, and factual accuracy

    • Maintain an exceptional working knowledge of HCA Healthcare technologies both displayed in the Impact Center and throughout the enterprise

    • Manage strong working relationships with vendors providing services and support to the Impact Center

    • Provide strategic direction and mentorship to a team responsible for administrative functions, visitor experiences, technical operations and maintenance within the Impact Center

    What qualifications you will need:

    • Bachelor's degree in relevant field plus 7-10 or more years' experience in communications, content strategy or related field

    • Proficient in AP style

    • Excellent writing skills and editorial ability; can write in easy-to-understand language

    • Ability to adapt writing style for different media, including print, digital, event scripting, and video

    • Understanding of how communications tactics contribute to a broader storytelling strategy

    • Background and prior experience with a healthcare-related field is preferred; familiarity with clinically focused content, writing/editing using medical terminology, medical conditions and service lines

    • Strong knowledge of the HCA Healthcare organization and brand story

    • Proficiency with audio/video systems and consumer-level PC-based computer systems
