  • We are seeking a highly motivated, customer-obsessed, innovative Event Associate to help the team deliver on the wealth customer event strategy and execution to strengthen the value propositions for JP Morgan Wealth Management.

    Focused on client experience improvements for our wealth clients, the ideal candidate will have proven experience in working in a highly matrixed organization and collaborating across functions to develop and deliver innovative client experiences. The position provides a unique opportunity to partner closely with JPMC teams across the firm as well as departments within the business.

    Key responsibilities

    The Events Associate will report to the Division Strategy & Support Manager responsible for:

    • Overseeing all Sports & Entertainment and Golf events and experiences working closely with the Chase Private Client Divisional, Regional and Market field teams, Sports & Entertainment and Chief Ticketing Office departments.

    • Supporting all aspects of Wealth events including Experiential, Thought Leadership, and Sports & Entertainment events, both in-person & virtual.

    • Use and maintenance of the Event Tracker and Ovations Tracking System to keep Wealth event & experiences records, event RSVP trackers and distribute sports & entertainment tickets opportunities among the regions.

    • Maintain a complex events calendar of all Wealth events and experiences.

    • Work with analytics teams to track events and communicate success metrics on a regular basis.

    • Maintain, communicate and track anecdotal event successes on a daily basis.

    • Strategically assist in concept and design of events in some markets.

    • Create Event Summaries for the Event and Market team uses.

    • Create all Wealth invitations through Brand Muscle or Creative department.

    • Submit invitations through AdTrax.

    • Work closely with the all members of the Wealth team to oversee and execute superiorly-run events using Wealth event guidelines.

    • Work on-site at events as needed.

    • Assist in the collaboration with Marketing teams to execute detailed communication plans designed to communicate and promote events

    • Work with field representatives to ensure the appropriate clients and prospects are invited to events, and ensure client invites and attendees are tracked

    • Work with the Legal, Compliance and Insurance teams on appropriate contracts and agreements as needed for the team.

    • Adhere to all Compliance and Control procedures.

    • Assist in working and presenting Business Cases to support event budget concepts to receive approval of event strategies.

    • Pay & track invoices and adhere to Wealth Event budgets.

    • Order and ship promotional items for events as needed.

    • Produce ad-hoc event reports for business needs.

    • Attend weekly Marketing and Event Departmental meetings.

    Qualifications:

    • 5+ years prior experience in event planning, including vendor contract negotiations and processes, is required.

    • Strong organizational and project management skills.

    • Experience planning and executing large-scale and smaller-scale events that are brand-relevant and very high quality.

    • A passion for detail and an ability to think creatively is critical.

    • Takes ownership, exercises strong judgment. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team to ensure the needs of the group are met.

    • Excellent oral and written communications skills.

    • Discretion around private client information a must.

    • Able to think and react quickly during event execution.

    • Able to work fluidly when overseeing events.

    • Willingness to work in fast-paced environment and beyond traditional business hours when necessary. Ability to travel (could be 60%)

    • Strong proficiency in Excel, Word & PowerPoint.

    • Design background or use of design systems would be an added plus.

    • Bachelor's degree in communication, journalism or marketing preferred.
