FACULTY VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
The Department of Allied Health, Mental Health and Human Services at Kingsborough Community invites applications for 3 full-time Lecturers to teach undergraduate courses within the Surgical Technology Program beginning fall 2024.
Teach undergraduate courses in Surgical Technology
Lecture planning, curriculum development and assessment, plus general administration of course documentation
Prepare and deliver lectures in all aspects of Surgical Technology based on the Association of Surgical Technology's Core Curriculum
Provide instruction in a laboratory setting for pre-clinical students. Also, provide supervision, mentoring and instruction in a clinical setting and assessing student work
Lead class discussions, meet with students regularly, assess student progression and perform weekly evaluations.
Convene regularly with faculty and the Program Director to report on weekly clinical activities and regularly attend department and program staff meetings
Consistently participate in Continuing Education in Surgical Technology and Professional Development activities as an educator

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree in healthcare related field, Master's Degree preferred
Maintenance and Proof of CST Credential
Minimum of 3 years experience in the Operating Room, plus 2 years as a clinical instructor or didactic experience preferred
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proven expertise in subject area
Ability to pass a criminal background check and provide medical clearance documentation to clinical affiliates
COMPENSATION
$69,983 - $79,170. Salary commensurate with education and experience.
