    Looking for a highly motivated Maintenance Service Technician for the continuous upkeep of the facility and support of all facilities related equipment and operations within a 24/7/365 production environment of Digital X-Ray Detectors at GE Healthcare's facility in North Greenbush NY. The right candidate should have basic mechanical aptitude with basic hand tool experience. Basic knowledge of HVAC systems, boilers, chillers, fans, pumps a plus, but will train the right individual on all aspects of the job.

    Job Description

    Responsibilities

    • Perform basic chemical testing on facility related equipment, e.g. boilers, water softeners, DI-Water system, etc.

    • Learn and perform basic system tasks, e.g. boiler rotations, logs and blowdowns, fire system testing.

    • Follow daily good housekeeping practices to maintain all mechanical areas in a clean and safe environment.

    • Testing and maintenance of the facility eyewash and safety showers

    • Be a clear thinker and be able to work independently as well as within a group setting.

    • Must possess the skill to complete routine and non-routine preventive maintenance tasks as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor or Facilities Leaders.

    • Must be computer literate, Windows etc. but experience with building management systems a plus.

    • Perform walking and written tours on facility related equipment.

    • Ability to learn and operate facilities systems, e.g. Industrial Waste Water, DI-Water, Fluoride Recovery.

    • Responsible for maintaining bathroom plumbing system, commode, urinal and sink maintenance.

    • Assist Facility Technicians with maintenance tasks as needed.

    • Maintain facility water softeners, be able independently to lift 50lbs.

    • Standing and walking for extended periods of time.

    • Able to climb ladders and work from heights.

    • Shovel snow as needed

    • Work in confined spaces such as cooling towers and air handling units.

    • All other duties as assigned

    Required Qualifications

    • Basic mechanical aptitude

    • Basic knowledge of hand tool usage

    • Reliable transportation

    • High School Diploma or GED

    Must be able to work at 12 hour rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays as well as overtime needed.

    For U.S. based positions only, the pay range for this position is $1,030.00-$2,620.00 Weekly - 52.1667. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the pay range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience and location. In addition, this position may also be eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
