  • The Manager, Workday Systems Administrator (REMOTE) role is responsible for providing primary administration and support of the Human Resource Information Systems, inclusive of Workday and other systems as the business grows. The position serves as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the assigned systems and for the processes inside of the applications to ensure that they remain current and serves the needs for all users. The Manager, will complete this work and may be supervising and mentoring 1-2 Team Members. This team is responsible for the Workday platform including HCM, Benefits, Advanced Compensation and other Workday modules, including supporting payroll.

    Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

    • Manage the administration, implementation, and maintenance of the Workday platform including: Human Capital Management, Benefits, Advance Compensation and support Payroll. Inclusive of maintaining data in the system for integrity and compliance.

    • Regularly performs data audits and validation, and follows up with appropriate teams for corrections, in all HR systems.Identify, recommend and track opportunities for process and operational improvements.

    • Analyze and recommend enhancements to business processes and other aspects of all HR systems configuration to streamline HR and payroll operations and optimize efficiency while ensuring data integrity.

    • Manages the activities of the HRIS team, including but not limited to: - Supervising HRIS team (approximately 1-2 HR Analysts)- Issue resolution- Process management, including documentation, performing and overseeing audits, and continuous improvements.- Support Workday users in HR and payroll by troubleshooting problems, answering questions, creating and/or modifying reports- Assist in the development of training plans to help end-users, especially in HR and payroll, carry out role-based and user-based responsibilities in the system.Collaborate with Workday Community and the Area User groups to resolve issues found within Workday and to proactively remain informed about Workday enhancements.

    • Manage Workday related contracts, contracted resources, invoice activity and budget

    • Act as primary Named Support Contact with Workday, including assessing and communicating applicable incoming notifications from Workday to HR, Payroll or IT areas, and managing implementer access to tenants.

    • Manage, develop and maintain system interfaces

    Position Requirements:

    • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required.

    • 5-7 years of Human Resources experience, at least 3 years of HRIS system experience in particular in a medium to large multi-state organization

    • Experience working with Workday HCM, Payroll, Benefits, and other respective Workday modules.

    • Effective communication skills, oral & written.

    • Experience in Word, Excel and other applicable database programs helpful.

    • A highly organized and detail-oriented professional who can work independently

    • A problem solver that proactively identifies ways to improve with the ability to drive projects/issues to completion

    • A positive, flexible and caring personality who displays good judgment, inspires confidence and handles confidential matters with discretion

    • Ability to build credibility and trust with employees, HR and management

    • Flexibility to meet continuously changing priorities and challenges.

    • Sound decision-making skills

    Preferred

    • Minimum 1.5+ years' Workday HCM and 1+ year HRIS experience in another system

    • PHR, CEBS, CBP, or other HR certification preferred

    • Workday Certification
