    Shifts: 7:00AM - 7:00PM or 7PM-7AM

    Requirements:

    • 2+ years post-partum RN experience required

    • Must have precious Post Partum couplet care experience

    • Active Massachusetts Registered Nurse License

    • COVID Vaccine + Booster

    • Flu Vaccine

    • BLS, ACLS, NRP

    Pay Rate:

    • Travel Rate: $2,415 /week (including $1,659 weekly stipends )

    The Registered Nurse assumes responsibility and accountability for the application of the nursing process and the delivery of patient care for obstetric patients. The RN demonstrates the ability to make clinical judgments in an effective and efficient manner with supervision. The RN demonstrates critical thinking and performance ability in the coordination of patient care. The RN consistently performs according to nursing standards and is accountable in managing patient care and assisting others in the management of patient care.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care

    • Assess signs and symptoms indicating physiologic and psychosocial changes in the patient's condition

    • Collects, analyzes and interprets data and information from health care members and documents actual and/or potential nursing diagnoses

    • Performs admitting assessments, reviews history and develops plan of care

    • Initiates fetal heart monitor, performs vaginal exams, interprets fetal heart tones and determines frequency duration and intensity of contractions

    • Monitors progress of laboring mothers, interprets fetal heart monitor and notifies physician when appropriate for progress or problems

    • Plans for expected outcomes of care for those patients assigned

    • Performs interventions according to identified priorities, plan of care, and the hospital policies and patient care outcome standard

    • Provides a safe, comfortable and therapeutic patient environment

    • Compares expected and actual outcomes of care and identifies deviation from the plan of care

    • Uses clinical judgment in evaluation activities to meet patient care needs and assigned unit/floor including establishing priorities

    • Monitors the safety and effectiveness of the environment and equipment

    • Communicates pertinent information about patient, nursing unit, and activities as appropriate

    • Performs other duties as assigned/necessary

    Minimum Requirements

    • Current Registered Nurse license within the state of practice.

    • Minimum one year obstetrics experience preferred.

    • Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice

    • Participation and completion of Amergis' Competency program when applicable

    • Current CPR if applicable

    • TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable

    • Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)

    • Must meet all federal, state and local requirements

    • Successful completion of new hire training as applicable to job site

    • Understand patient confidentiality and HIPAA requirements

    • Ability to effectively elicit/provide information to and from appropriate individuals (including, but not limited to, supervisors, co-workers, clients) via strong communication skills; proficiency in the English language is required

    • Computer proficiency required

    • Must be at least 18 years of age
