UNC Physician's Network is recruiting to fill a part time, evening shift role for Occupational Health Nurse, on location in Durham, RTP, at our client's manufacturing campus. We would like to talk to you if you have the right experience and are available to work 4-5 steady evenings per week from 6 pm to 11 pm. There is an evening shift differential in addition to hourly pay.

This nurse will work closely with site Safety and Medical leadership to offer occupational health screenings, acute episodic care and emergency response. Staffing the health clinic as sole clinician during these evening hours of operation should be within the candidate's competence and comfort zone.

Occupational health nurse experience is ideal. EMT, Paramedic, or Emergency nursing experience is preferred. Nurses who appreciate autonomous practice will fit nicely with this opportunity.

Maintains an environment of safety for patients, self and others. Oversees daily clinical, clerical & administrative Occupational Health Services (OHS) functions while ensuring institutional & departmental compliance with applicable professional, regulatory & governmental standards. Demonstrates clinical nursing expertise and professional competency through the planning, implementation and management of programs that support the health, safety and well-being of clients. Actively participates in the attainment of Organization's strategic plan, goals and objectives.

Responsibilities

Oversees daily clinical, clerical & administrative Occupational Health Services (OHS) functions while ensuring institutional &

departmental compliance with applicable professional, regulatory & governmental standards.

Consistently and effectively coordinates the daily operations of occupational health programs & services - clinical, clerical and administrative functions - for area of responsibility/operating unit.

Collaborates with the multidisciplinary team to foster the provision of effective health, safety and environmental services - anticipates changes and recommends and implements new policies and work improvement initiatives as indicated.

Demonstrates an ethical decision making framework in all activities. Through personal and professional relationships, promotes OHS mission and values and fosters community integration.

Ensures development and maintenance of confidential health records 100% of the time. Effectively coordinates provisions for employee compliance with regulatory requirements.

Demonstrates clinical nursing expertise and professional competency through the planning, implementation and management of programs that support the health, safety and well-being of clients.

Demonstrates expertise with provisions of the NC Workers' Compensation Act and serves as a case coordinator for all claims at operating unit.

Processes all client logs and associated documents in a timely and accurate manner and in accordance with insurance, legal and regulatory requirements.

Education Requirements:

? Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

Licensure/Certification Requirements:

? Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina.

Professional Experience Requirements:

? Two years of hands-on clinical nursing experience.

Knowledge/Skills/and Abilities Requirements:

? Epidemiology/infection control, toxicology, industrial and environmental hygiene
