    As our Oncology Supervisor at CHI St Vincent Infirmary, you'll help our patients during a very difficult time in their life. For patients who have cancer or the potential threat, their oncology nurse will be one of the most important people in their journey. They're with them during one of the most difficult and vulnerable moments of their life. They also treat patients with medical needs who don't require surgery. Our talented Oncology Medical team has two solid traits: knowledge and passion.

    You'll build trust with patients and families by anticipating patient needs, observing them closely, and listening carefully. Your success in this role comes from working well with the surgical and nursing team to communicate details while paying close attention to the emotional and informational needs of the patient. You do not need previous experience in an orthopedic unit to be successful in this role, but enthusiasm to help others is mandatory. We'll teach you everything you need to know, which makes this a perfect starting point to launch your nursing career.

    Responsibilities

    • Leads a designated nursing area (part of a unit, entire unit, or entire facility)

    • Oversees quality of patient care to assure delivery of individualized nursing care

    • Oversees patient care delivery to maximize patient/family satisfaction and minimize risk of injury or negative outcomes to patients or employees while serving as a resource for staff

    • Directs staff during emergency situations

    • Coordinates orientation and/or training for team

    • Responsible for driving patient care across the continuum through leadership of disciplinary care rounds and care management

    Qualifications

    • Current licensure as Registered Nurse in this state

    • Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) or (pursuit of BSN or higher degree) from an accredited nursing program

    • Internal employees in this role may be grandfathered in per approval of VP, PCS for the facility.

    • Minimum of four (4) years clinical nursing experience in a hospital setting or at least three (3) years demonstrated leadership as a charge RN or PCC.

    • Basic Life Support (BLS) required

    • Additional certification or licensure may be required for some specialty areas

    Pay Range

    $35.12 - $50.92 /hour
