  • Job Description

    One of our large healthcare clients is hiring a patient scheduler for their outpatient cardiology practice. The day-to-day responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Answer telephones handling multiple phone lines; expected to answer approximately 100 calls per day

    • Route patient calls to the appropriate area/individual

    • Schedule and cancel appointments; Schedule patients for outpatient tests and surgeries

    • Comply with department procedures and regulatory guidelines for HIPAA, Advance Beneficiary Notice, Advance Directives, and Patients Rights

    • Review and comply with patient account notes and appointment Notes in system

    • Schedule follow-up appointments, create appointment ticklers in the system, and work associated Worklists/boxes relative to both based on assignment

    • Perform other duties as assigned and may be assigned to other Capital Health Medical Group Practices as needed

    The schedule is Mo-Fr 8 AM - 4:30 PM

    Skills and Requirements

    • 1+ years of call center or customer service experience (front desk, patient services, etc)

    • Computer knowledge and skills required

    • Critical thinking and multi-tasking skills required

    *Once hired as a full-time employee, they would be expected to travel between all cardiology offices Newtown and Hopewell, Hamilton, Columbus and Robbinsville when needed - Healthcare experience

    • Athena experience (EMR system) null
