Payroll Accountant

Description Robert Half is currently staffing for a Payroll Staff Accountant to join our client out of the Non-Profit Industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payroll processing and accounting principles, with a keen attention to detail and a commitment to excellence. Responsibilities: Process payroll on a bi-weekly/monthly basis for all employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulations. Prepare and review payroll journal entries, ensuring proper classification and accurate recording of payroll transactions. Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner. Collaborate with HR to ensure accurate employee data and compliance with payroll-related regulations. Assist in the preparation of payroll-related reports for management and external stakeholders. Stay up-to-date on payroll regulations and compliance requirements to ensure adherence to relevant laws and regulations. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll processing and accounting. Strong understanding of payroll regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements. Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Excel. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
