Phlebotomist

Adecco Medical & Science is hiring a Phlebotomist in Bedford, Texas ! This role is on site/ in person. Please read below and apply with an updated resume for consideration:

Type: Three-month contract, with opportunity for extension, or fulltime offer

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00AM - 5:00PM

Pay: $22.34 - $24.34 per hour

Dress: Scrubs (black or blue)

Responsibilities of the Phlebotomist:

• Prepares equipment to efficiently collect blood products

• Performs venipuncture using vacutainer, syringe and butterfly techniques; capillary punctures using heel and finger stick techniques on patients. Identifies and labels specimens.

• Conducts designated laboratory testing

• Instructs patients on urine collection procedures. Allocates urine specimens

• Cleans and sterilizes equipment, instruments, and work area

Qualifications for the Phlebotomist:

• High school graduate or GED equivalent

• 1+ years of related experience

• Current National certification or registration as Medical Assistant or Phlebotomist or the ability to obtain the certification within 180 days of employment. Phlebotomists who are hired prior to receiving their certification are expected to perform at the same level as a certified Phlebotomist

• Knowledge of laboratory techniques to perform routine blood and urine tests

• Knowledge of laboratory equipment and testing to perform quality control checks
