    The Specialty Services Project Manager is a junior or senior level field project manager position responsible for overseeing BrandSafway's Specialty Services field project portfolio. This position is for an execution-minded individual who excels in all facets of project management, project portfolio management, business restructuring, commercial operations and continuous improvement. They will work in conjunction with the specialty services businesses and product lines ranging from heat tracing, cathodic protection, refractory, concrete repair and other supported field services although in the near term the focus will be on the Cathodic Protection business.

    This role could at times involve tactical, "hands on" project management support for larger capital projects that may require additional attention due to customer management, contract management, project lifecycle management, delays and or other project risks. Lastly, this position requires a strategically minded leader that needs to possess the ability to connect and collaborate with all types of BrandSafway employees ranging from functional leadership to operational leadership to regional operations leaders.

    Responsibilities

    • Own and drive R-Process Project Risk Tollgate operating rhythm for portfolio of field projects. Work closely with project controls staff to track and manage overall project execution and earned value management.

    • Collaborate with all or some of the specialty services businesses and oversee the creation and implementation of project and P&L execution plans in accordance with best practices and risk mitigation.

    • Visit active projects to ensure compliance in safety, documentation, and quality. Work with and collaborate with mobilized field crews and support all aspects of project contract management.

    • Partner with any of the GMs for the Specialty Services businesses to review the overall organization's financial budget and strategic milestones.

    • Ensure that key select projects are performing to meet BrandSafway's financial and budgetary milestones.

    • Design internal & external communications for the specialty services business including presentations for customers, internal stakeholders, regional branch networks and corporate teams.

    • Advises on project staffing & structure to drive project performance and delivery

    • Enforces accountability to project owners and stakeholders; tracks tollgates and IDs "at risk" projects; make recommendations on project recovery plans as needed

    • Identify and mitigate project risks through project reviews and tollgates; makes recommendations on how to best support field execution projects.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Engineering, Master's degree preferred but not required

    • Experienced Project Management position for 2+ years.

    • Proficient in computer programs such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

    • Expertise or strong understanding of project scheduling and project scheduling software systems such as P6 and or MS Project.

    • The ability to draft professional business communications between stakeholders.

    • This position requires a highly motivated, self-starter who can work remotely when needed. Should possess the ability to handle the daily requirements while being able to execute and communicate progress weekly

    • Operational/field experience in the construction, manufacturing, field services or other industrial environments, with a proven understanding of productivity drivers

    • Organization, presentation, and communication skills are paramount; will have to conduct presentations and discussions weekly with operations and functional leadership.

    • Understand scheduling techniques, estimating, change management, risk management, and progress reporting methods

    • Familiarity with basic Project Management Process Groups (Initiate, Plan, Execute, Control, Close).

    • Travel: Must be able to travel for extensive periods of time, including international where necessary ( up to 50% )
