Scientist - CHO Cell Line Development

Our large Pharmaceutical client is seeking a Scientist to join the HTP Expression team in their growing Biologics Discovery Group in Spring House, PA. They are looking for a highly motivated Scientist who specializes in CHO (Chinese hamster ovary) cell line development to join a team committed to the bold objective of changing the future of medicine. Collaborating with their team of dynamic and innovative Scientists, you will be responsible for advancing the most cutting-edge biologics medicines to the clinic. As a member of this team, you will leverage a variety of robotic platforms and protein purification technologies along with the highest quality and rigor to invent and deliver innovative therapeutic candidates. This role will primarily be focused on building a High Throughput platform for creating stable cell pools and will be heavily focused on cell line development. Other responsibilities include:

• DNA design for cell line development

• Vector construction or design to facilitate stable pool generation

* Hands-on lab research for purification and characterization of antibodies or other proteins expressed from a variety of sources.

* Design, execute and interpret experiments with manager's approval.

* Maintain accurate laboratory notebooks in a timely manner and prepare technical reports, summaries, protocols, etc.

* Following protocols to execute experiments in a timely fashion

Skills and Requirements

• B.S, M.S or Ph.D in Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Biophysics or related field

• CHO cell line development experience

• Stable pool generation experience with CHO or HEK

• 2-5 years of experience in protein purification (Affinity purification, IEX purification, Size exclusion purification)

• Experience with protein expression using CHO / HEK293 cell lines and protein characterization

• Mammalian cell culture experience -Vector construction or design

-DNA design for cell line development

-Experience with automation (Liquid Handler preferred)

-HPLC experience

-AKTA experience

-Experience with process development and analytical method development null
