    Registered Nurse - Family Practice

    Job Responsibilities

    Coordinate patient care with healthcare professionals.

    Facilitate optimal outcomes in clinical care, quality, and cost-effectiveness.

    Ensure compliance with standards of care and practice.

    Perform physical exams and health histories.

    Provide health promotions, counseling, and education.

    Administer medications, wound care, and personalized interventions.

    Direct and supervise care provided by other healthcare professionals.

    Make patient care assignments based on scope of practice and skill level.

    Recognize adverse signs and symptoms and react in emergency situations.

    Communicate and collaborate with diverse healthcare teams.

    Make referral appointments and arrange specialty care.

    Conduct research for improved practice and patient outcomes.

    Preferred working knowledge of the military health care system.

    Synthesize data from various sources for clinical decisions.

    Excellent oral and written communication skills.

    Operate and monitor specialized medical equipment.

    Assist with various clinic-specific procedures.

    Ensure proper documentation of procedures and treatments.

    Maintain and clean specialized medical equipment.

    Participate in orientation and training of newly assigned personnel.

    May work various shifts or augment clinical nursing support.

    Ensure a safe work environment and patient safety in accordance with regulations.

    Position Registered Nurse

    Position Requirements

    Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

    Graduate from a college or university accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC) or The Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).

    Three years of nursing experience post-graduation.

    Knowledge of professional care theories, principles, practices, and procedures.

    Experience in assessing pediatric, adolescent, adults, obstetrics, and geriatric patients.

    Utilizes the nursing process for professional practice.

    Knowledge of a wide range of medical disorders/conditions and disease processes.

    Knowledge of preventive health schedules, procedures, processes, and education methods.

    Knowledge of disease management and population health principles.

    Knowledge of pharmacological agents, including administration and dosage calculations.

    Proficiency in basic word processing, data entry, and automated medical records.

    At least 24 months of experience within the last 48 months in a primary care clinic setting.

    Board Certification: None

    Licensure/Registration: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse

    Work Schedule

    Work shifts between 0730 - 1630, Monday through Friday.

    Normal work schedules are 9-hour shifts with a 1-hour non-paid lunch each day.

    Not to exceed 40 hours per week or 80 hours per two weeks.
