Registered Veterinary Technician - Cardiology

VCA West Los Angeles Animal Hospital is at it again. We're improving how we support our world-class cardiology service by adding team members to our cardiology service. Our goal is to provide the best medicine to even more patients.

VCA West Los Angeles Animal Hospital is looking to add a Registered Veterinary Technician to our well-established Cardiology team to support our cardiologists further. We are looking for a highly motivated, dependable individual who is proactive and comfortable with multitasking. The ideal candidate would be interested in learning, expanding their skill set, and mentoring others as VCA West Los Angeles is a teaching hospital with externs, interns, and residents.

Our cardiology team is trained and equipped to handle all kinds of ailments. The team performs advanced procedures including pacemaker implantation, balloon valvuloplasty, and valve repair. Our cardiology team is one of just a handful of locations in the U.S. performing a beating heart mitral valve repair and they pioneered the left atrial decompression procedure. By incorporating advanced knowledge and techniques, our cardiology service can successfully prolong and improve the lives of animals with heart disease. Our specialists don't just use best practices, they develop them. VCA West Los Angeles specialty teams include medical Cardiology, radiation oncology, medical oncology, general practice veterinarians, surgery, critical care specialist, zoo medicine, neurology, dentistry, and more specialized professionals who are leaders in their field.

Known for industry-leading medicine, we support our community and a network of veterinary professionals in the greater Los Angeles area with education and peer-to-peer knowledge sharing as we develop the relationships needed to tackle complex medical issues. Job Type: Full-time

Compensation: $ 26 - 30 per hour based on skills and knowledge base.
