Position Compensation Range: $34.61 - $55.38 Hourly
ORGANIZATIONAL DUTIES:
Positive, professional demeanor is projected through verbal and non-verbal communications. Information for patients and staff is delivered in a manner that is supportive, timely and understandable. Interpersonal conflicts are resolved using appropriate methods and organizational resources, including but not limited to Employee Relations Services and Faculty Employee Assistance Program. Clarification of communication is requested when appropriate.
Privacy is maintained at all times for patient and employee information. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program/associates degree in nursing (ADN) required. Bachelors of Science in Nursing Degree is preferred
Experience: 3 years of experience as a med/surg, critical care, or ED bedside RN is required; 5+ years of experience at the bedside in these areas is preferred.
License/Certification: Practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia is required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Sitting for prolonged periods, frequently utilizing a computer and phone system, typing, and multi-tasking; Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull < 20lbs. The job setting is a high-stress environment that is prone to high-capacity sensory stimulation.
