SAP Basis Administrator (Palmdale, Ca)

Description: This on-site Lockheed Martin Enterprise Business Services (LMEBS) position supporting the Aeronautics business area in Palmdale, California works in a team environment performing Basis Administration tasks in support of many Netweaver systems running a wide variety

of SAP applications, components and boltons.

The job duties include but are not limited to

- Monitor SAP instances and logs and take corrective actions if problems arise.

- Create and Maintain Metrics and Inventory that Pertain to SAP.

- Review and act on conditions found in SAP Early Watch reports.

- Perform system health checks.

- Perform SAP Transports throughout the landscape and maintain the transport management system.

- Maintain and update SAP spool system and scheduled jobs.

- Perform problem analysis and resolution.

- Perform client copies, system copies, and system refreshes.

- Install patches and perform system configuration including support for off-shift maintenance events.

- Configure and maintain RFCs.

- Perform database maintenance and management.

- Perform SAP security functions, such as user and role management.

- Support an on-call rotation requiring 24x7 responsiveness to outages and issues.

Basic Qualifications:

- Demonstrated expertise/knowledge of one or more of Microsoft Windows, Unix, Linux, and Java.

- Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills.

- Demonstrated documentation creation and document management skills.

- Demonstrated experience with Unix/Linux shell scripting.

- Ability to work on self-initiated tasks without appreciable direction.

- Proven customer service skills.

- US Citizenship

- Ability to obtain and maintain Secret Level Clearance

Desired Skills:

- Experience providing advanced support to one or more Lockheed Martin business areas, such as MFC, RMS, EO, Space, and Aero.

- Demonstrated ability to successfully support high availability systems.

- Demonstrated SAP Basis administration experience.

- Demonstrated Database administration experience (MS-SQL, Oracle, HANA).

- Demonstrated Active Directory integration/interfacing experience (ADFS, LDAP, Kerberos).

- Demonstrated Application development experience.

- Demonstrated scripting and automation experience.

- Ability to represent the organization as a prime technical contact on projects.

- Ability to successfully embrace and demonstrate Full Spectrum Leadership behaviors.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, demonstrated teaming and interpersonal skills.

- Active security clearance.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week

Pay Rate:

The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, or Washington is $67,400 - $129,300 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.

Pay Rate:

The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $77,600 - $146,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
