Position Summary

The Saw Operator will be responsible for operating and maintaining saw equipment to cut aluminum materials according to specifications. The ideal candidate will have experience in operating industrial saws and a strong attention to detail to ensure accurate and high-quality cuts.

Responsibilities

• Operate saw equipment to cut aluminum materials to required specifications

• Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and drawings to determine cutting requirements

• Adjust saw settings to ensure accurate and precise cuts

• Monitor machine operations to ensure efficiency and safety

• Maintain saw equipment by performing routine maintenance and cleaning

• Inspect cut materials to ensure they meet quality standards

• Follow safety guidelines and procedures to ensure a safe work environment

• Communicate with team members and supervisors to coordinate workflow

• Perform additional duties as required

Knowledge & Skills

• Able to communicate professionally, verbally and in writing, with team members, vendors and customers.

• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings

• Experience performing routine maintenance operations and working with hand tools, specifically with industrial saws

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Basic math and accurate measuring skills

Experience

• 2 + years proven experience as a saw operator or similar role in a manufacturing environment

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required

Other Requirements

• This position works in a production facility and is regularly required to sit or stand for extended periods of time.

• Must be able to use hands and have finger dexterity

• Must be able to reach, bend, kneel, and crouch occasionally-

• Must be able to safely lift 40 pounds
