    The Senior FACTS PDG Americas Engineering Manager demonstrates leadership in the direction of technical resources in support of Global FACTS projects. He/She will work closely with the Region and Engineering Leaders to determine appropriate assignments and flawless execution of the Product Delivery Group scope for the Americas FACTS Product Delivery Group technical team.

    The position manages Engineering Leaders, assures appropriate staffing levels for business needs, provides work assignments for team members and contractors, plans and executes training, assures quality processes are followed, and evaluates personnel performance. This individual will serve as the technological point person for the entire FACTS product lifecycle including development, planning, execution, and post sales service

    THIS IS AN ONSITE ROLE IN SARATOGA SRINGS, NY

    Overview:

    We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as a Senior FACTS (Flexible AC Transmission Systems) PDG (Power Delivery Grid) Americas Engineering Manager. In this role, you will lead a team of engineers focused on the design, development, and implementation of FACTS solutions across the Americas region. You will be responsible for driving innovation, ensuring technical excellence, and delivering exceptional results in the field of power delivery grid engineering.

    Responsibilities:

    Leadership and Team Management:

    • Lead and inspire a team of engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to foster their professional growth and development.

    • Set clear goals and objectives for the team, and monitor progress to ensure timely and successful project delivery.

    • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the engineering team.

    Technical Expertise:

    • Utilize your expertise in FACTS technologies to provide technical leadership and guidance to the team in the design, analysis, and optimization of FACTS solutions.

    • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in power delivery grid engineering, and incorporate them into the team's approach.

    • Drive the development of innovative solutions to complex engineering challenges, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer requirements.

    Project Management:

    • Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects related to FACTS solutions, ensuring adherence to budget, schedule, and quality standards.

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and operations, to coordinate project activities and ensure seamless project execution.

    • Identify and mitigate risks proactively, and escalate issues as needed to ensure project success.

    Customer Engagement:

    • Act as a technical liaison between the engineering team and customers, providing technical expertise and support throughout the project lifecycle.

    • Engage with customers to understand their requirements, address technical inquiries, and provide customized solutions to meet their needs.

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, striving to exceed their expectations and drive customer satisfaction.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; advanced degree preferred.

    • Extensive experience (8+ years) in power delivery grid engineering, with a focus on FACTS technologies.

    • Proven track record of success in leading engineering teams and delivering complex projects on time and within budget.

    • In-depth knowledge of FACTS technologies, including SVCs, STATCOMs, and HVDC systems, as well as their applications in power systems.

    • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, allocate resources effectively, and manage competing priorities.

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.

    • Demonstrated leadership abilities, with a passion for coaching, mentoring, and developing engineering talent.
