    Our location in Abbott Park, IL currently has an opportunity for a Senior Financial Analyst in our Nutrition division.

    The Abbott Nutrition Senior Financial Analyst will have key responsibilities supporting planning and reporting processes for Abbott's $8Bn revenue nutrition division. This position is responsible for supporting the LBE/Planning process, and leading certain aspects of the process. The position will also identify/assess/implement process improvements, lead projects, assist with senior management highlights and Board of Director presentations as well as support an array of ad-hoc FP&A activities for Abbott Nutrition Senior Leadership. Nutrition is an end-to-end international business with R&D, procurement, manufacturing, marketing, and selling activities; thus, financial support centers around the income statement, balance sheet, cash flow and exchange rate analysis. Prior international experience is preferred. Some of the highlights of the position are: support to the Division President and Controller, exposure to the exchange complexities with a large global business, opportunity to learn about the AN brands and customers and work with other AN Divisions and Corporate FP&A.

    WHAT YOU'LL DO

    • Support and organize the quarterly LBE/Plan processes from a headquarters perspective: generate calendars, create financial templates, coordinate process with the Nutrition sub-divisions (Commercial, Manufacturing, R&D), consolidate financials, ensure timely and accurate submissions to Corporate.

    • Prepare and consolidate LBE Confirmations

    • Support preparation of executive level presentations for internal and external reviews

    • Prepare and analyze Cash Flow statement and other Balance Sheet forecast analysis

    • Bring numbers to life to drive better understanding and decision making (cash flow, ROI, etc.)

    • Actively support various ad-hoc financial requests that can come from Division, Corporate, Investor Relations - which may include financial modeling with extensive use of Excel

    • Support/perform timely and accurate actual reporting and variance analysis

    • Partner with AN Divisions to understand variance drivers within their financial submissions, as appropriate.

    • Ensure financials are accurately stated, including tie outs between different reporting tools

    • Prepare journal entries and perform month end close over Division Headquarter budgets, ensuring proper accounting at the functional and departmental level.

    • Identify and implement process improvements, where necessary.

    • Prepare and complete ad-hoc management requests.

    Qualifications

    • Education: Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Finance.

    • Minimum 4 years of combined Finance/Accounting experience is required.

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

    • Attention to detail and managing time effectively to ensure deliverables are completed timely and accurately.

    • Ability to work independently and with senior management

    • Effective communication, soft skills, and ability to prioritize responsibilities.

    • Executive presentation experience desirable

    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (mainly Excel and Power Point)

    • Proficiency in HFM/CCI, SAP and Host Analytics is a plus.

    The base pay for this position is $72,700.00 - $145,300.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
