    Our Princeton, NJ headquarters has an opportunity for a Site Controller . This role provides financial counsel and support to Manufacturing and Supply Chain senior staff members. Financial counsel and support are provided via the following specific activities: financial planning & analysis, financial reporting & analysis, cost and general accounting, and internal control. The incumbent's primary function is to execute the full range of controllership responsibilities for Princeton Manufacturing and Supply Chain while 1) ensuring timeliness, accuracy, and integrity of all financial information and 2) providing for compliance with Corporate and Division financial policies and procedures. Reporting directly to the APOC Finance Director Operations with operational responsibility to the business function Vice Presidents.

    What You'll Work On

    • Responsible for the full range of financial disciplines involving entity reporting; planning; and financial consolidation impacting the Princeton site Manufacturing Operations and Division Supply Chain.

    • Entity and financial planning include general ledger and cost accounting, tax, and ensuring compliance with applicable accounting policies/procedures.

    • Key financial partner/counsel to the Director Manufacturing, Princeton, and other senior staff including provider of financial advice and input for strategic business initiatives geared towards ensuring site success and positioning for future state long-range planning and analysis.

    • Collaborate with Supply Chain and Manufacturing Operations to forecast and track to benchmarks key cash flow drivers, such as Inventory and Accounts Payable.

    • Participate and own the financial portion of the Integrated Business Planning process which supports the monthly updates, 36-month P&L, rolling Latest Best Estimate (rLBE), and APOC Organic Execution Model (OEM). Functional areas include Princeton Manufacturing and Division Supply Chain.

    • General oversight and financial guidance to personnel at the site supporting Manufacturing, TPM (Third Party Manufacturer) Instrument Manufacturing, and the Service organization.

    • Oversee the fixed asset accounting, asset tracking, and forecasts for the Princeton site including Operations, IT, Commercial, and R&D.

    • Financial analysis and support in both the generation of gross margin improvement projects and ongoing tracking against targets for Operations.

    • Perform analysis related to strategic business objectives being contemplated, such as: make vs. buy; capital acquisitions; ROI; lease accounting; economic profitability; and regular participation in the daily decision-making process.

    • Motivate and develop financial staff through leadership; training, guidance, and setting clear expectations of the finance organization's role in support of the business strategies.

    • Ensure adequate internal controls are established/maintained. This entails not only compliance to established Abbott financial policies and procedures, but also to Abbott's Code of Conduct and the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act guidelines.

    • Support the FP&A functions as a key contributor to APOC Finance leadership.

    Required Qualifications

    • B.A./B.S. in Finance or Accounting.

    • 7 or more years of diverse financial experience including manufacturing accounting, operations support, financial planning and analysis, general accounting, internal control/audit, project accounting support, and ad hoc analysis.

    • 4 or more years in a managerial position or role in Finance.

    • Strong organization, interpersonal, communication, and management skills (persuasiveness and negotiation) are key. A highly organized individual capable of interfacing with individuals in a variety of senior management positions/levels.

    • Must have the ability to balance the needs of the organization when conflicting goals may exist. Demonstrate the ability to evaluate the tasks at hand and prioritize appropriately.

    • Forward-thinking for effective strategic business planning is a must.

    • Strong knowledge of accounting and finance principles with the ability to apply this knowledge to support business needs

    • Ability to prioritize; strong organizational and planning skills; strong intellectual curiosity.

    • Must thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic company environment.

    • Strong financial modeling skills and business acumen, with the ability to drive projects from start to finish.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • An advanced degree (MBA, CPA, and/or CMA) is desirable.

    The base pay for this position is $109,300.00 - $218,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
