    The Operations Strategic Capabilities Unit plays a fundamental role in enabling efficient business and program execution from technologies and investments to supply chain, manufacturing and test operations, facilities management, and information technology services.

    Technical Specialist II - Mechanical Solutions Assembly Operations

    The MechS Assembly Operations Technical Specialist II supports the operational needs of MechS Solution Area and the broader Operational Engineering & Planning department. The MechS Assembly Operations Technical Specialist II ensures efficient and effective management of company assets and coordinates the organization and management of resources required for successful program execution. In addition, the MechS Assembly Operations Technical Specialist II monitors current resource usage and projects future resource requirements, securing the necessary resources as required.

    What Youll Do:

    • Perform operational functions of a specialized nature to support engineering and manufacturing requiring advanced application of both technical theory and practical knowledge in the design, development, assembly and test, delivery or launch of a wide variety of company products and systems.

    • Coordinate the MechS Assembly Facility / Floor Space for the associated High Bay and Cleanroom work areas.

    • Familiarity and working knowledge with current facility and asset resources and personnel.

    • OE&P Liaison coordinating MechS Assembly operational needs with:

    • Move, Shipping & Logistical Operations

    • Industrial Operations (IO)

    • Safety (EH&S, & System Safety)

    • Property Control & Asset Management

    • Partner AI&T program teams

    • Duties are typically more responsibility oriented (versus daily task oriented), performed with little to no oversight and vary greatly in breadth and depth of content during day-to-day operations.

    • Make continuous improvement suggestions, participate, and lead projects in area of responsibility.

    • Effectively interface with internal/external customers and Ball management.

    • Ensure that all business is conducted with the highest ethical standards and in compliance with all applicable laws, statutes, and regulations as well as company policies and directives.

    • Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.

    • Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company.Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.

    • Perform other duties as necessary.

    What Youll Need:

    • High School diploma or equivalent plus 14 years or more related experience or a related 2-year technical degree and 12 years or more related experience.

    • Each higher-level related degree, i.e., Bachelors or Masters, may substitute for two years of related experience. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.

    Full-Time On-Site Work Environment: This position requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site full-time. Travel and local commute between Ball campuses and other possible non-Ball locations may be required.

    Compensation & Benefits:

    • HIRING SALARY RANGE: $36.06 - $49.04 per hour (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
