Test Technician

Hello,

My name is Kyle O'Rourke and I'm reaching out to you from Aerotek Manufacturing Services. I am currently doing urgent hiring for two of my top clients who are hiring Test Technicians on Long Island that is paying $22-25/hour (dependent on experience).

POSITION SUMMARY

Performs testing and troubleshooting of high voltage electronic units to meet production schedules and performance standards.

Receives instructions on daily work and new assignments.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Uses test procedures, test equipment, drawings, schematics and verbal/written instructions to test and troubleshoot high voltage power units.

• Maintains fixturing, performs calibration, preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance.

• Performs the set-up, calibration, testing and troubleshooting of electronic circuits, components, instruments, and assemblies.

• Documents test results accurately.

• Communicates openly and effectively in a professional manner.

• Understands and follows all safety requirements.

• Understands and follows all ISO practices and procedures.

• May act as the technical interface with other departments.

• Considers the impact of quality on the customers when making decisions.

• Ability to effectively work in a team environment.

• Other duties as assigned

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Works in a manufacturing environment which may be noisy and fast paced.

The Test Department contains live high voltage units up to 60,000V. Overtime (OT) may be required in times of increased production.

SKILLS:

• Ability to utilize automated test equipment (ATE)

• Ability to troubleshoot down to component level

EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of one year experience testing and troubleshooting electrical circuits and assemblies. High voltage experience is preferred.

• Experience using automated test equipment (ATE).

• Knowledge and understanding of ESD practices.

EDUCATION:

AAS degree in electronics or equivalent experience.
