    We are looking for:

    The Utility Operator will primarily support the shipping and receiving team but will also perform work for the maintenance team and the production team. The Utility Operator has the responsibility for the safe and accurate handling of inbound and outbound materials. He/ She must uphold plant standards and ensure compliance with HSSE and DOT policies and procedures. He/ She must lead by example. He/she must be able to create, promote and sustain operations that are injury-free, environmentally responsible and meets the demands of our customers. The successful candidate will be required to work independently or in partnership with other staff members on equipment and safety equipment inspections and complete minor preventative maintenance tasks. The Utility Operator may also support the production team with packaging or other tasks.

    You will bring:

    • High School diploma or equivalent

    • Previous chemical plant operating experience desired

    • Good interpersonal skills

    • Good computer skills with working knowledge of MS Outlook, Word & Excel

    • Competent on or able to learn SAP system for Shipping and Receiving transactions and Maintenance transactions.

    • Competent on or able to learn loading/unloading operations for bulk liquid tankers, box trailers and railcars

    • Able to use site tractor to move tankers and box trailers

    • Able to safely operate a forklift truck for material handling

    • Must understand DOT regulations

    • Must understand the plant waste handling and shipping requirements (RCRA)

    • Understanding of safe work practices, Process Safety Management, permit to work systems, management of change and safety & environmental regulations.

    • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills for interaction with carriers, vendors, and other site departments

    • Able to facilitate efficient cooperation between departments

    • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and react to changing priorities

    • Ability to assess, prioritize and resolve shipping issues

    • The U.S. base salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this position is ($23.89 per hour). Since actual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted base salary range. Total compensation for this role also includes bonus and/or other incentives.
