Veterinary Technician Assistant

What we're looking for

VCA Animal Specialty Group, Los Angeles is looking looking for exceptional technician Assistants that can help the doctors and technicians with whatever they might need, including restraining for IVC placement, xrays, blood/urine draws, exams, procedure and surgery prep, etc. Other responsibilities include cleaning and disinfecting the treatment floor, procedure rooms and wards, stocking medical supplies, cleaning and sterilizing surgical packs and instruments, maintaining laundry, feeding and walking patients, processing in-house labs samples, and much more.

Applicants should be/have:

• Shifts are 10 hours, 4 days/week

• 1 year pateint care experience in a veterinary hospital required

• Able to work Saturday and/or Sunday

• Able to work swing and/or overnights

• Able to communicate respectfully and compassionately

• Receive and carryout instructions accurately and efficiently

• Excellent multi-tasking skills in a busy environment

• Able to receive feedback in a polite and respectful manner

• Outstanding organizational and time management skills

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour

Shift Differential: Overngiht shifts only

Available shifts: Morning, swing, and overnight
